Villagers discovered the partially decomposed body of Whyte who was residing at Grand Mal, St. George’s.

The villagers moved into the house after receiving a foul smell in the area.

According to a police report, he was last seen on May 30th.

A resident of the area told THE NEW TODAY newspaper that Whyte who is a welder by profession first started making frequent visits to Grenada some years ago before finally settling on the island.

“He used to come down here and work welding, but he turned a vagrant, digging the garbage, and staying in an old house behind the Community Centre,” the resident said.

Another resident who commented on Whyte’s lifestyle said he would only be seen very early in the morning going to various garbage bins in the area, but no one would see him during the day time.

Residents of Grand Mal believe that Whyte died of natural cause and doubt if anyone would want to harm him.
