RIVALS: A real life Grenadian drama

Relationship issues and political intrigue will be featured prominently on the Spice Basket Stage tomorrow (Saturday) when the LA BOUCAN CREATIVE CENTRE presents the first production for its 2017/2018 theatre season.

RIVALS, written and directed by Francis Urias Peters, tells the story of a love triangle amongst three childhood friends which eventually leads to a web of betrayal, deceit, ego and political intrigue.

The story however, points to the need for second chances, compromise and national pride for the survival of any friendship.

The play opens at Spice Basket at 8:00 p.m and then Hillborough Tennis Court in Carriacou (under the auspices of the Carriacou Parang Festival Committee) on December 16 at 8:30 pm.

Additional performances will be booked for early 2018.

Starring in this intriguing drama are Dale Bhola-Wilkes as “Nen”, Hannah Neisha Douglas as “Sonia”, Pianki Tousssaint as “Alvin”, Samuel Ogilvie as “Patrick” and Zeleka Peters as “Fay”.

Tickets for the production can be obtained from GITTENS (on Halifax Street St. George’s and Grand Anse) and Grenadian Optical (Melville Street and Spice Land Mall).

Proceeds from the productions go towards the Creative programmes and the running of the LaBoucan Creative Centre.
