“Keeping Our Cultural Heritage Alive”

The Tivoli Drummers are inviting you to join them in their efforts in preserving and promoting Grenada’s Cultural heritage.

Established since 1995, the group has performed nationally, regionally and internationally.

The Tivoli Drummers have hosted in excess of twelve Drum Festivals, as well as conducted tours to Cuba, Canada, Trinidad, and Guyana in promoting Grenada and the drumming culture.

At home, the group has taken part in several cultural programmes and activities with schools, communities, private and public organisations in an effort to build communities and preserve the tradition.

Tivoli Drummers have in excess of forty members including children as young as four years of age.
In 2015, the Tivoli Drummers launched the construction of a cultural centre in Tivoli, St Andrew and to date, have completed both the foundation and the roof.

The members want to complete the centre this year with washroom facilities, a museum and a performing stage.

The company anticipates that neighbouring communities and Grenada in general, would benefit from the centre culturally, economically and from their year round cultural activities, workshops and professional performances.

With this goal in mind, the Tivoli Drummers are inviting members of the public, companies and institutions to join them in making their centre a distinguishable one and to share the benefits of this effort.

The group would welcome donations, which are monetary, and/or materials to assist in moving forward. If you would like to assist directly please make contributions to Tivoli Drummers Building fund at Grenada Co-operative Bank Ltd. Account number 311000398 or swift account GROAGDGD.

A copy of the proposal for the project is available by phoning Livingston Nelson on 409-1057.
