Forty-three lucky persons were randomly selected to be the final winners in the just-ended “The Magic Continues” promotion by Foodland Supermarket on the Kirani James Boulevard in the Lagoon.
The supermarket offered customers a Magical Night of Shopping on December 23, in which it conducted a cock-crow event and when the alarm went off persons who were cashing at the point in time became eligible to win a prize.
More than 50 persons won prizes and according to Foodland Marketing Officer, Mahera Strachan the remaining prizes were used for “The Magic Continues” promotion.
“We had 43 prizes remaining and we decided to have a special promotion for only Kirani James Boulevard shoppers,” she told THE NEW TODAY at the end of the prize giving ceremony.
“For this promotion persons simply had to write their names, telephone numbers and address on the back of their receipt “and with our auditor present we dipped and randomly selected winners for the remaining prizes,” she said.
Strachan also congratulated all the winners and thanked “everyone who would have shopped with us for the past year”.
‘We have a lot of loyal shoppers and we are very grateful for them. We (would) also (like to) thank our staff who worked tediously to make sure that we can serve our customers properly with great service,” said Strachan who also used the opportunity to remind customers that there is a lot more in store for them.
“Of course we always have a lot of promotions for our customers to look forward to. We have Valentine’s (Day) coming up, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day (and), we always have something special in store. Also we encourage persons to log on to our Facebook page (Foodland Supermarkets Grenada) because we also have offers, recipes, tips, information about sales and much more,” she said.
Foodland is known to be one of the leading supermarkets on the island.
