The Rotary Club of Grenada (RCG) has partnered with St. George’s Anglican Senior School on Church Street to bring better sanitation and hygiene to the children of the school.
A release from Rotary said the Club is dedicated “to enhancing the lives of the people in the community we serve, and Water and Sanitation is one of Rotary’s six Areas of Focus”.
The project repaired and repainted both the boys and girls’ toilets and showers.
According to the release the idea behind the project “is to ensure that our boys and girls have access to facilities that promote good hygiene habits”.
This project has two components – Water to ensure that the kids have access to clean and safe water facilities at the school, and secondly Sanitation to ensure that the school’s toilets are in good working order.
The Club has committed, during the coming months, to partnering with five more schools to improve their water and sanitation facilities.
