For a second consecutive year, Foodland, with assistance from various sponsors across Grenada, took the initiative to assist its customers through the promotion, which began on August 2 and culminated on September 1 with a grand draw.

During the short prize giving ceremony at Foodland’s Market Square shopping outlet, students were encouraged by Marketing Officer, Foodland Supermarkets, Mahera Strachan “to put God first in everything they do, stay focused and give their personal best on a daily basis”.

The students were also reminded that their “attitude will determine their altitude”.
Strachan noted that while the young ones are eager to head out to school after a long vacation, for parents and guardians, it can be an extremely stressful time.

“Each year there seems to be a growing list of school supplies, books and uniforms to be purchased, school fees to be paid, etc.; we all want our children to be given a fair chance at pursuing their ultimate dreams which begin with a good education”, she remarked.

The Assistant Manager at Foodland Market Square, Julien Mitchell who also spoke said that Foodland “has and always will continue to provide exciting promotions for their beloved customers”.

This year’s sponsors included Bryden & Minors, Huggins Pharmaceuticals and Distribution Divisions, MoneyGram, Bargain House, Standard Bookshop, Innovative Computer Cafe, D.A. Munroe & Associates, Hankey’s Computer Services Ltd., Kool System, Grenada Co-operative Bank, Grenada Union of Teachers Co-operative Credit Union Ltd. and Courts Grenada.
