Republic Bank has supported the School’s sports meet since 2006, providing medals, trophies, refreshment, music and t-shirts for the games.

In declaring the sports opened, Retail Services Manager, Republic House, Althea Roberts encouraged the athletes to do their best.

“Run as fast as you can, do your best, but also have fun, fun, fun!

Whether you win a medal or not today, remember you are a winner just by running in the race”, she told the athletes.

Roberts also took the opportunity to extend best wishes to the School as preparations begin for the celebration of its 40th Anniversary, which will be held in September.

She congratulated the School on its achievements and praised the dedication of the teachers in serving those special little boys and girls.

Over eighty (80) students sub-divided into four (4) houses – Alexis House (Blue), Britton House (Red), Johnson House (Green) and Hopkin House (Yellow), competed for athletic honours.

A colourful march past, punctuated by other fun-filled novelty races as well as a special sponsor’s race involving staff of the Bank, formed part of the day’s activities.

At the end, Alexis House emerged champion with 456 points.

The Bank congratulates the winners and all the participants for their courage and sportsmanship.

The day’s activities concluded with a medal presentation ceremony.

Republic Bank‘s financial contribution to this event was $5,500.00.
