Making a positive contribution in the lives of families on the 13 square miles island of Carriacou was part of the objective of the organising committee of the 2015 Christmas in the Gardens event.
Five (5) families on the island were the recipients of food hampers which was specially delivered to their homes.
It’s the first time since the event started over thirteen (13) years ago that such a contribution has been made.
The committee expresses heartfelt thanks to the corporate citizens and individuals who contributed towards this venture – Courts Grenada Ltd, Hills and Valley Pharmacy, Independence Agencies and SD’s Solid Waste and Trucking Services.
Christmas in the Gardens is an annual event organised by the Division of Culture within the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs to usher in the Christmas season in a special way.
This year’s event was held at Belair Park and featured Grenadian artiste Lady Empress and also saw performances from local groups and individuals.
