Eight (8) weeks ago, Parliamentary Representative for Carriacou and Petite Martinique, Elvin Nimrod, in conjunction with Grenada Citizen Advice and Small Business Agency (GRENCASE), implemented an Information Technology Certification Course in Basic Computer Operations and Computer Repairs and Maintenance on the Sister-Isle of Carriacou.

A graduation ceremony was recently held at the Hillsborough Government School marking the completion of the Basic Information Technology Course.

Thirty-eight (38) students, including senior citizens, adults and secondary level students graduated with Certification in Basic Computer Operations and Computer Repairs and Maintenance.

The Parliamentary Representative for Carriacou and Petite Martinique described the collaboration with GRENCASE as one that will continue bearing much more programs and courses on the sister-isles.

Minister Nimrod said that with ICT being the main drive in all parts of the world today, it was most fitting to commit himself towards being part of the implementation of such initiative on the sister-isle.

In closing, the Deputy Prime Minister pledged that the sister-isle of Petite Martinique is certainly not left out, as plans are already in place to collaborate with GRENCASE for the Petite Martinique round of the I.T Program.

GRENCASE Managing Director, Shelby Henry, said that the 18 years old GRENCASE Organisation, though pretty young, is committed to doing its utmost best in facilitating programs and activities geared towards the development of people in the state of Grenada.
