Police have confirmed that one of the persons injured in last week’s vehicular accident in St. George North-west has died.
Dead is Jason Charles, a 29 year old fisherman of La Mode, St Patrick who succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident that took place along the Beausejour main road.
Charles was one of the one of the occupants inside a car, licensed PAA 127 which met in the accident with a truck.
The three occupants of the car were rushed to the St. George’s General hospital in critical condition last week Wednesday after the white Corolla car in which they were traveling collided with the truck that was coming in the opposite direction.
Officer in Charge of the Community Relations Department (CRD) of the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF), Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sylvan McIntyre confirmed on Tuesday the death of the passenger.
However, ASP McIntyre could not give information on the status of the driver of the car and was unsure if he had been discharged or is still hospitalised.
Information reaching THE NEW TODAY Newspaper indicate that the other passenger in the car is still hospitalised but in a stable condition.
The car ended up underneath the truck severely injuring two passengers inside the vehicle.
