The Leo Club of St. George’s celebrated its 45th Anniversary on February 25, 2015.
This year’s Anniversary Theme was “One Heartbeat! One passion!
Responding to the call and improving the lifestyles of those in need in our communities”.
The theme outlines our goals and objectives through teamwork, dedication & discipline. We’ve come together for one main cause; that is to help the less fortunate, youths and those in different needs in our communities through almsgiving.
The Leo Club of St. George’s is a not-for-profit youth organization which was chartered by the St. George’s Lions Club on 25th February 1970. The Club comprises of members between the ages of 18- 30 who are dedicated to serving their communities.
The acronym LEO means:
Various Projects and achievements that were successfully completed:
– The repainting of the Sendall Tunnel
– Community clean up
– Distribution of food hampers
– Drug awareness work shops
– Assistance to our adopted school, Constantine Methodist.
– Environmental day- Tree Planting
– Feeding of the Homeless
The LEO club aids to improve member’s skills, thus enhances attributes in our professional and personal life, along with volunteer opportunities and commitments. The club has recently been awarded “Club of the District for both 1st & 2ndQuarters” by District Governor Lion Isaac Solomon MJF of the Lionistic year.
We will also like to say a special thanks to our parent club;”St. George’s Lion Club” for the tremendous support, our fantastic sponsors, our families and friends , well-wishers and the general public for their god fairing assistance throughout the years.
