The man behind the operation of Real FM Radio Station in Sauteurs, St. Patrick’s, Andre Donald  believes his reputation is being tarnished over an allegation of rape.

Donald who made a surprise appearance on last Saturday’s morning programme at Real FM that is hosted by part time announcer Jester Noel referred to an alleged incident in which some persons have been trying to point fingers at him.

During a talk show programme on another local FM radio station, a young woman by the name of Isha Vincent claimed that she was raped by an individual at a radio station on September 2, 2014.
The name of the individual and the radio station were not identified.

However, Donald, who is associated with the ruling New National Party (NNP) of Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell, stopped short of naming the specific incident.

“This thing came up before you know what I am talking about … it was investigated, the police did their investigations and why it come up again? “he retorted.

“This thing is alleged to have been committed in August …(but people are)  back with it again after five months”, he said.

According to Donald, the matter was investigated by police officers attached to both the Sauteurs and Grenville police stations.

The radio announcer whose tone of voice appeared to be furious said his reputation is all that he has and that he owns nothing else.

“When someone tries to destroy my rep I take that as a personal attack, not just on me, but on my children … I take that very personal … but when you do so and interfere with my rep, you interfere with my children and really and truly I can become like a lioness in defending those cubs”, he told the programme host.

There are unconfirmed reports that a high-ranking member of the Police High Command has instructed both the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the Community Relations Department to launch an investigation into the alleged incident of rape.

Meanwhile, the 20-year old  Vincent appeared on a local FM radio station to give a graphic and detailed account of the sexual ordeal she encountered with one of the nation’s leading radio personalities.

In an interview with radio talk show host, Kem Jones, the young lady said she came into contact with the suspect while seeking help to have her life stabilised.
Vincent lived in foster homes over the years and is the mother of a young baby.

She alleged that on September 2nd 2014 she was repeatedly raped by the radio personality.
In the radio interview on the radio talk show programme, she said she went to the individual for help and instead of him giving her the assistance she was seeking he turned around and raped her.

She spoke of reporting the matter to the Sauteurs Police Station in St. Patrick’s but to date nothing was done.

“He had me looking as a stupidity in front of the police. I would not watch a big man so and lie on him,” she said.

Vincent claimed that after the radio personality had finish sexually assaulting her, he called a friend to drop her home.

Jones reportedly brought the matter  to the attention of the Police High Command at Fort George in St. George’s.

He said he met with Deputy Commissioner of Police, Franklin Redhead who allegedly instructed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the Community Relations Department to follow through on the allegation of sexual misconduct.
