Eighteen lucky customers of telecommunications provider, FLOW, were rewarded this Christmas for paying their bills in full and on time as part of the company’s Wonderflow Christmas promotion.
The initiative, which began on November 3, was a regional project involving all the territories where FLOW does business.
Customers could have only qualified to take part in the promotion once they signed up for anyone of three of Flow’s services – free internet connection, video or cable.
Those persons were also eligible for a theme pak for two months, and those persons who signed up for telephone would have also received in addition to the free installation a free cordless phone.
Existing customers who paid their bills in full and on time automatically qualified to win one of the prizes at stake – a Samsung HGTV Ipad mini and a shopping spree.
During the prize giving ceremony held on December 23, winners were given the chance to randomly select their prizes.
As the names were called, each person was asked to dip into a box filled with cards with a number attached to it that indicated the prize they went home with.
There were six winners for each of the prizes respectively.
Country Manager of Flow, Gail Purcell told the winners that it was a pleasure serving them and it means a lot to FLOW to give back to them.
“We would like to extend a special thank you to all of you for being a FLOW customer. It’s interesting to note that 13 of our winners are existing customers who simply won because they paid their bill in full and on time, so we always look out for ways to reward our existing customers and make sure that you’re happy and you continue to be our customer. For our new customers, we certainly hope that we live up to your expectations and that all of your services work well,” she said.
THE NEW TODAY newspaper spoke to three of the winners to get a sense of their feeling on being a winner with FLOW.
Sherrie Jones, one of the winners of the Samsung HGTV said her mind was set on winning the TV.
“I have never thought I had much luck in winning prizes …but I think for Christmas, this is the biggest gift I’ve gotten so I’m quite happy. I went to sleep last night thinking TV and I came here thinking TV. I work a lot of hours so I won’t say it would make a huge difference but at the same time it would go a long way and if it doesn’t make me happy, it might make someone else happy,” she remarked.
Another of the winners of the IPAD mini, Wendy La Barrie, told this newspaper that she is very grateful for striking luck with FLOW.
“I am very pleased and happy that FLOW was able to do a promotion like this because I have not won anything from them ever,(as) a matter of fact I’m not even sure if I ever win anything (before) so I’m very happy today that I’ve won something. It’s something I’ve been wanting to get for a while so now that I’ve gotten it for Christmas from FLOW, indeed I am quite pleased”, she said.
In the case of Eric Nurse, one of the winners of the $500 Shopping Spree, his comment was simple: “You could never go wrong with more food for the holidays.
“I feel lucky today, I want to say thank you to FLOW for this initiative. I guess it’s well deserved for customers paying their bills on time. It will give me something extra from FLOW – extra is always good, with the voucher you can choose what you want and it will help to make the Christmas a little bit more merry,” he added.
Nurse stated that he would definitely take part in any other promotion done by FLOW.
