Calabash Grenada has been selected as the winner of both the Service Excellence in Tourism award and named the Business Leader of the Year by the Grenada Chamber of Industry & Commerce (GCIC).

The awards were presented at the GCIC Gala Dinner held on November 15 at the Grenada Trade Centre at Morne Rouge.




Owners, Lilian and Adele Garbutt, as well as Resort Manager, Zack Samuel, were on hand to collect the awards sponsored by The Grenada Hotel and Tourism Association, Virgin Atlantic and St George’s University.

“I am very proud of where the Calabash is today. These two awards honour and congratulate every member of the Calabash team. We are all very committed to exceeding our already high standards and are eager to ensure that Calabash continues to be noted as one of the best hotels is the world”, said Adele Garbutt of the owning family and also one of the resort’s Directors.

Calabash Hotel, which was has been identified as among one of the top hotel in Grenada on Trip Advisor for many months, recently completed a multi-million dollar upgrade project, which has brought the standards at the five-star resort to an increased level of luxury.
