Foodland is giving back to its employees as it held a promotion that allowed four winners a shopping spree worth $200.
The four consist of Iris Alexis of the Market Square Department, Donna Calliste of Kirani James Boulevard, Sharon Sandiford of the Administrative and Pre-Packing centre and Lesley Bedeau from Management.
The promotional period was from February 1-28 and to enter the promotion, staff had to ensure that they had at least one Food Club item on their receipt.
At the Market Square supermarket on Monday, they were given two minutes to fill their baskets with $200 worth of items that must include any Food Club juice in the bottle, any Food Club canned goods and any Food Club cleaning supply.
Marketing Officer for Foodland, Melvin Brown said this is a first time promotion for the company.
“We always have promotions for customers but this time we thought it best to give back to our employees to let them know that they too are appreciated,” he said.
The initiative of the supermarket was appreciated by staffer Lesley Bedeau who said, “Nice to know that Foodland appreciates staff and glad to be part of the promotion”.
Brown disclosed that every week, there will be a promotion from Foodland to recognise the value of its customers.
