Corporal of Police 271 Kevon Williams who is popularly known as “Shabba” came to the assistance of two tourists who were riding on a scooter when they were stopped by a Police Constable on Young Street, St. George’s last week Thursday on the belied that the bike was not insured to be on the road.

The couple who are first time visitors to Grenada informed THE NEW TODAY Newspaper that they had rented the scooter from Maitland’s Motor Rentals at Grand Anse, St. George’s for 12 days at a price of US $360.00.

The Swiss couple who were visibly shaken up said they had just come from the Town of St. George when the Junior Policeman stopped them.

During the course of the interview, Cpl. Williams showed up and in a cool and collective manner pointed out to his subordinate and the Tourists that such important documents are kept in the rear compartment or under the seat.

Upon making checks, the insurance document was found under the seat.

Williams was only promoted as a Corporal of Police earlier this year.

However, in 2009 and 2012, he was awarded for being the Most Outstanding Traffic Police.
