Clear Harbor Cares has to be commended for its continuous charitable efforts geared towards children and education in Grenada.
On December 11th, 2013 Clear Harbor Cares in conjunction with Friends of Grenada (from the US) hosted a Christmas Party for the students of Constantine Methodist School. This school had previously participated in Clear Harbor Cares’ Back to School Backpack Giveaway Program.
The Christmas Party was celebrated with a Santa Claus giving out presents and every student received 2 Christmas gifts. A Christmas tree was taken to the school for the occasion and the students made decorations which they hung on the tree.
The expressions on the faces of the children when the partitions were pulled back and a large tree with Santa Claus was revealed were unforgettable. The employees of Clear Harbor sang Christmas Carols and served refreshments to all.
The students also expressed their appreciation by performing a beautiful group dance, the rendition of a tear jerking song and a thank you speech. It was a celebratory day filled with fun and various activities and the children loved it.
When asked about the plans of Clear Harbor Cares for 2014, Claudia Downes (Chairperson of the Clear Harbor Cares Committee) said, “2014 will be a major fund raising year for us as we are committed to continue spreading our charitable efforts across Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique”.
Downes also thanked the employees of Clear Harbor as well as the Grenadian public for their consistent support over the years.
