Coming from an extremely successful Carnival Season in Grenada, LIME, continues to recognise the invaluable contribution of some of the island’s leading cultural icons.
The company last week Tuesday hosted an appreciation party for some of Grenada’s well-known Cultural Icons in Queen’s New York under the auspices of General Manager Angus Steele.
The event was attended by Consul-General Derrick James, as well as Sports Journalist, Michael Bascombe, Junior George of Total Caribbean Network HD,, calypsonians, Soca Artistes and Music Producers.
The event saw entertainers such as LIME Artiste including Cultural Ambassador Tallpree, Mr. Killa, Boyzie, Terror Kidd, Otis as well as Mr. Legs, Inspector, Randy Isaac, Superstar, Pupa Leendi (NY based artiste from Carriacou), Mr. Roots (NY based musician and producer), Mauricia (NY based female Grenadian artiste).
Steele said that his company’s commitment to Grenada’s Culture goes beyond its local involvement in Spicemas but extends to Grenadians living in the Diaspora.
He added that LIME demonstrates this through its support for activities organised by Grenadians for Grenadians outside of Grenada.
The LIME General Manager disclosed that the New York event brings to a climax the company’s activities for Spicemas 2013.
Steele also used the opportunity to extend special thanks to LIME’s customers for their loyalty demonstrated throughout the season and said that the Company was looking forward to hosting another successful Spicemas in 2014.
The event also provided an opportunity for the artiste to socialise and “kick back” after what many of them deem as a hectic 2013 season.
Elements of the event were carried live on City Sound FM through one of Grenada’s well know DJ “Madvibes” via his popular radio show.
The evening saw live radio interviews from LIME’s Artiste including Tallpree, Otis, Terror Kid, Boyzie and Mr. Killa.
