Gilbert is first-ever Honorary Consul

The Government of Grenada has appointed its first-ever Honorary Consul for Grenada in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

She is Betty-Ann J. Gilbert, a Grenadian by birth, who has been living in St Kitts and Nevis for the last twelve (12) years.

Gilbert is currently the Owner and Managing Director of Innovative Transport Services Limited and Dynamic Distributors Limited.

As Grenada’s Honorary Consul she will have “full powers and authority to aid and protect citizens of Grenada trading in, visiting or residing in St. Kitts and Nevis” as stated in her Commission of Appointment issued by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Grenada, Tillman Thomas,

According to Gilbert, she sees serving as Honorary Consul as “the continuation of my mission to serve my people”.

She spoke of being humbled by the opportunity given to serve her country and looks forward to maintaining the excellent relations with the Government and People of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Gilbert said she hopes that her appointment will serve to strengthen and enhance the bonds of friendship that exist between both countries.
