The Grenada Distillers Limited has added another three products on the market, bringing the total number to 17.
The new products: Rhythm Coconut Rum, Grenadian Mojito and Pure Jab – were presented to members of the media last week Thursday at the Woodlands factory.
General Manager Ruel Edwards spoke highly of the three new products.
Edwards said they are second to none in terms of the quality of the packaging.
“When you walk into any supermarket, be it locally or internationally and you look at these products we should feel proud that we are Grenadians simply because it is not a substandard product, it is not ‘substandardly’ packaged, but it is packaged with quality for taste, for elegance, for sexiness,” he said.
He said over the last ten years Grenada Distillers Limited has won over 105 medals internationally for the various products.
Grenada Distillers Limited will now enter those products among others at the Caribbean Rum and Beer Festival.
Edwards is confident that the three new products would obtain medals at that festival.
“That is the assurance I have of the quality of the products that we produce,” he said.
The General Manager said in the next couple of months they would focus on product development that would go beyond just the taste.
Sales and Promotion Manager Tris St. Louis said the launch of the 2012 products is exciting for him considering the effort expended and pride taken in the packaging and the product.
“We have developed products of international standards and we’re going to continue on that trend,” he promised.
