President Biden, And former presidents Donald Trump And Barack Obama, More than 200 million Christians in the United States share Christmas news with Americans on Saturday as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
“Merry Christmas from our family! May your time with your loved ones this holiday season be filled with warmth, comfort and joy,” Biden said in a tweet.
Trump also released a brief statement in the form of his Save America PAC release.
“Merry Christmas to everyone,” Trump said.
Obama’s Christmas message was lighter than Trump’s or Biden’s message. He tweeted a photo of his dog Sunny, wearing a Santa hat in front of the Christmas tree, with gifts below.
“Merry Christmas everyone! This year, I got a little help from Sunny to spread the holiday cheer,” Obama said. “I wish you all a peaceful and happy holiday with those you love.”
Biden, Obama and Trump are the three most recent presidents of the country with the largest Christian population in the world. Pew Research.
As stated in it Research Service of CongressChristmas was first declared a federal holiday in the United States in 1870 by the same law that referred to New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Independence Day as federal holidays.
