Paradise Football Club continues to receive sponsorship from telecommunications provider, LIME.
The disclosure was made last week Wednesday during a press conference held at the company’s location at Mt. Hartman, St. George’s.
The St. Andrew’s-based club is receiving further sponsorship from LIME that goes up until 2016.
Member of the LIME Paradise Management Team Dale Hinds expressed their gratitude that LIME continues to keep the faith in them and supporting them throughout the years.
Hinds said they would not only become reliant on LIME for funds.
He said they are taking the initiative to conduct fund-raising activities to assist with projects.
One of their ventures Paradise Football Club is after is to purchase a bus.
Hinds disclosed that over $6,000.00 is spent annually for transportation.
“We want to be self-efficient and we hope with the support of LIME we can do our own activities so that we can raise our funds, and maybe even give back to the community,” he said.
Hinds recalled that when they first sought sponsorship from LIME in 2007 after winning the Grenada Football Association (GFA) Premier League Championship, the goal was to go further than just winning that competition.
The football coach said their goal was to develop young players within the community.
This year marks the sixth year since LIME has been sponsoring the St. Andrew’s-based Club.
Hinds said since 2008, Paradise Football Club has won the GFA on two occasions, Waggy-T Football Competitions twice, third on one occasion, and second on two occasions.
The Football Club will be venturing out on doing community projects.
Hinds said they will engaged in establishing road signs throughout Paradise and St. Andrew’s.
