UWI Open Campus Students Receive Bursaries from Republic Bank

Grenadian students continue to benefit from financial assistance from Republic Bank, under its Bursary Programme.

For the new academic year, Semester I, a total of twenty two (22) bursaries valued at EC$20,306.00 (TWENTY THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED AND SIX DOLLARS) were awarded to thirteen (13) students, pursuing studies, through the UWI – Open Campus, Grenada.

Each year, Republic Bank allocates $40,000.00 to assist Grenadian nationals who wish to stay at home and pursue higher learning.




Simultaneously, $20,000 is allocated annually to assist one student wishing to pursue full-time studies at any of the UWI campuses.

The Bursaries and Scholarship are awarded to students based on academic qualifications and financial need.

The areas of study covered under the programme are: Business Management/Management Studies, Information Technology, Economics, Marketing, Finance, Accounting and, Human Resource Management.

Republic Bank is very proud of its contribution over the past twenty three (23) years, towards the educational development of our citizens at the university level/degree level and remains committed to making a positive difference in our communities, through our support for higher Education.
