One Dead in Vehicular Accident

Nigel Charles – died on the spot

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Nigel Charles of Pomme Rose early Wednesday morning in a vehicular accident in an area known as Tabor Hill in St. David’s.

Charles died on the spot from injuries sustained in accident that took place around 6.45 a.m.
His car, registration No. PA 461 collided with a passenger bus, HAD 37.

THE NEW TODAY understands that Charles, a Security Officer stationed at Grenada Co-operative Bank Limited was travelling in the direction of St. George’s and the bus in the opposite direction.




There are unconfirmed reports that the deceased tried to overtake a vehicle around a corner when he collided with the oncoming bus.

Meanwhile, the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) has taken one man into custody following the fatal stabbing of a woman on Tuesday night in the vicinity of the St. George’s Fish Market on Melville Street.

Dead is Judith Mitchell of Grand Anse, St. George who was described as a “challenged person”.

She was pronounced dead at the St. George’s General Hospital.
