A 22-year-old fisherman from Grand Mall in St. George, has found himself on the wrong side of the law after being caught with approximately 2.6 pounds of marijuana in his possession last November.
Kevin Francis made his first court appearance, without his lawyer, Peter David on January 19, before Magistrate Tahira Gellineau, at the No. 2 Magistrate’s Court in St. George’s.
Francis has been slapped with two charges, possession and trafficking of a controlled drug.
The youngster has been granted bail in the sum of $20, 000 with two sureties.
The 22-year-old was apprehended by members of the Drug Squad on November 30, 2016, shortly after exiting the Osprey Shuttle on The Carenage in St. George’s.
The marijuana found in his possession carries a street value of approximately $5, 450.
The matter has been adjourned to March 3.
