Dwain Gill continues to function as President of the Grenada Cricket Association (GCA) after his resignation was not accepted by the local body.
Gill tendered his resignation letter to GCA last week, but after an emergency meeting was immediately held, it was withdrawn.
A GCA Official told The New Today Newspaper there is too much at stake at this point in time to have lost Gill at the helm of the association.
He said GCA is in the process of put together a number of programmes to have local cricket fully functioning.
The Official said since emerging as President Gill has done a lot to developing the sports on the island especially among the young players and women.
GCA is currently preparing its under-19 cricket team for the WINLOTT under-19 tournament in St. Vincent later this month, and the hosting of the West Indies under-15 tournament in July.
