St. Andrew Resident remanded on Sex Crime

A St. Andrew resident was remanded to the Richmond Hill Prison after making his first appearance at the Grenville Magistrate’s Court, on April 25 on a slew of sex offenses.

54-year old Sheridan Charles, a farmer of Mirabeau, was charged by police at the weekend for offenses related to having sexual intercourse with a minor.

He will reappear in Court on May 9.

Meanwhile, Keron Alexander, a 30-year- old resident of Windsor Forest, St. David was granted $30,000 bail after he appeared at the St. David Magistrate’s Court on Monday on a charge of sexual intercourse with a minor.

As part of his bail condition, Alexander who is to reappear in Court on May 6, has to change his place of residence.

In addition, he has been ordered by the Court to have no direct or indirect contact with the complainant and report to the Gouyave Police Station every Wednesday between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
