A number of restaurants and food and drink based companies gathered at the Foodland Car Park on Kirani James Boulevard last Friday to promote their products which they believe would be of interest this Christmas.

The event dubbed “A taste of Christmas” was a first time initiative by the supermarket.

It allowed for persons to sample products from the different companies and to provide them with a good idea of the products Foodland would have available for the Christmas season.

According to Marketing Officer at Foodland, Melvyn Brown, the restaurants were keen to put out samples of their Christmas menus so that persons can be aware of what different restaurants have.

“Suppliers are sampling their Christmas drinks, the Egg Nog, the wine…we have people sampling ham, black cake and so…customers get an idea as to what is the offer for Christmas”, he said.

“Events like these give us an opportunity to promote all our products amongst consumers and shoppers and also it creates awareness of our product and help keep our products top of mind among the shoppers and consumers”, he remarked.
