Grenada coach Lester Smith was satisfied with a share of the spoils after his side drew 2-2 with hosts Bermuda in a friendly at the National Sports Stadium on Friday night.
Although Grenada took a 20th-minute lead through Shane Rennie, they found themselves 2-1 down at the break. However, they grabbed a 77th-minute equaliser through substitute Rickson Phillip as Bermuda played most of the second half with ten men, after wingback Terrance Webb was sent off in the 51st minute.
Bermuda almost stole it at the death, but Grenada goalkeeper Jason Belfon pulled off a fine double save, denying substitute Antwan Russell and then blocking Zeiko Lewis’s shot from the rebound.
Smith’s Bermuda counterpart Andrew Bascome was furious over Webb’s “senseless sending-off”. Webb was sent off after a foul on Wendell Rennie, which earned him a second yellow card.
