The weather was perfect for golfers with a picture blue sky and Christmas breeze blowing on a well-kept, lush, emerald green course.
The spirit of competition was alive with everyone vying for the number 1 prize of the latest in the range of Digicel smartphones, the DL900.
The winner would be one of the first to use this state of the art device in Grenada.

The best net prize went to local golf course resident Devon “Bruce” Harvey and he happily accepted his prize from fellow golfer Digicel’s Country Manager Patricia Maher who said that Bruce can now enjoy free social media when he signs up for a Digicel 4G data plan on his brand new Digicel smartphone.
Best gross prize went to another Golf Course resident, Roger Adolphus, who received a bottle of Gold Label Johnny Walker compliments Bryden & Minors.
Michael Minors, who is an avid player and supporter of golf in Grenada, was delighted to sponsor this Christmas prize.
Second and third net prizes went to Derrick Thomas and Desmond “Jack” Kirton respectively and all winners received a gift from Ramdhanny’s True Value and a hamper full of goodies.
Lyden Ramdhanny, who also participated in the golf competition, was on hand to present the hamper prizes to the winners.
Jeffrey Augustine, owner of Grenada Golflands Management Limited, thanked all the sponsors including Grenada Breweries and his wife Louise who baked a Christmas cake for all the 6 winners.
The ‘Closest to the pin” prize was won by Ricardo Francis on the 9th hole and Ian Harford on the 18th hole.
Everyone concluded that we must be the envy of golfers around the world playing golf during Christmas time in Grenada in perfect weather conditions and in a great spirit of coming together of the golfing community.
