Former murder convict, Shevon Gay of St. Jules Street, St George’s has once again found himself entangled with the law.
Gay has been charged with attempted murder and robbery with violence in connection with an alleged attack on his former girlfriend of Marigot, St. John’s.
A reliable source told THE NEW TODAY newspaper that Gay allegedly inflicted several chop wounds on Nyasha Langaigne after taking away some of her personal belongings.
Langaigne sustained injuries to her forehead, left side of the face and arms and was treated at the St. George’s General hospital.
The 27-year old victim was reportedly picked up from the side of the road bleeding profusely by a passerby in a white car and taken to hospital.
According to well-placed sources, Gay pursued the vehicle with his bus in an attempt to run it off the road.
A source who spoke on condition of not being identified said Gay stopped off at Langaigne’s home at Marigot and informed her that he had brought their two children to see her.
The accused man pretending that he wanted to hug her and then allegedly started to inflict the chop wounds on his ex-lover.
Gay once served prison time for an incident that occurred in front of KFC on Granby Street, St. George’s a few years ago which resulted in the death of a young man.
He was given a prison sentence at Richmond Hill and later fell victim to a sexual assault by fellow male inmates at the institution.
Gay was eventually released from prison to continue with his civilian life.
