Teacher accused of sexually assaulting 6-year old

A primary school teacher is facing a charge of indecent assault.

The charge was laid by police on Simon Andrew of San Souci, St. George’s last week.

An authoritative source told THE NEW TODAY Newspaper that the 36-year old man is accused of indecently assaulting a six-year old child who was in his care at the time.

The source who spoke on condition of not being identified said Andrew who once served as an acolyte at the Roman Catholic Church was out with a group of budding athletes from a primary school at the Tanteen Playing Field when the incident allegedly took place.

Simon who serves as the Sports Teacher took a group of students out for training in preparation for their upcoming school sports meeting when he allegedly pushed his hands inside of her pants and touched her private parts.

Last year, schoolteacher Aaron Hercules was found guilty on a charge of indecent assault and received an 18-month prison sentence from Madam Justice Margaret Price-Findlay.
