Coke worker charged with stealing

An employee of the Grenada Bottling Company at Tempe, St. George’s is charged with the offense of stealing by reason of Employment.

Rogerson Barry of Grand Anse, St. George’s is accused of taking away products from the bottling company valued at $300.00.

An informed source told THE NEW TODAY Newspaper that 174 bottles of soft drink were discovered by one of the company’s managers inside of a vehicle owned by Barry.

The source who spoke on condition that he was not identified said that Barry who drives a Noah Van had parked the vehicle on the company’s compound when the discovery was made with the drinks.

Over the years, several companies on the island have been reporting a number of incidents of theft by employees.

Just last week Police charged hotel worker, Jonathan Ragbersingh of Calliste, St. George’s for a similar offense

The 32-year old Ragbersingh is accused of stealing cash amounting to $164,856.74.
The offence was committed between July 2009 and July 2010.
