“Every case of the Omigron variant has been found to be fully vaccinated students to date, and some of them have received booster shots,” said Joel Malina, vice president of university relations.
The measures taken on campus will “help students who have tested negative for the winter break return home safely and control the spread of the Omigran variant to vulnerable populations,” Malina said.
“To date, I would like to assure you that none of our affected students have contracted the disease, and we have a role to play in reducing the spread of the disease to the wider community,” Pollock said.
The last day of Cornell’s classes is scheduled for December 7 and its final exam period is December 11-18 according to its online education calendar.
